How does stage 1 of the course work?
January 11th - July 4th, 2027
Integrated study and preparation for unit 1
Study via weekly online learning modules
6 months organised into 5×4-weeks study blocks
Break weeks between each study block
10-15 guided study hours per week
Weekly group seminar Thursdays 17.30 UK/IRE time
Detailed tutor guidance and feedback on all course work
Working in small cohorts of up to 10 teachers

2 months to complete and submit your unit 1 extended assignment after 6 months study phase
How does stage 2 work?
In stage 2 you work on both unit 3 and unit 4 assessments.
Unit 4= 3 internal + 1 externally assessed lessons
Unit 3 = 1 × 30 minute interview
There is a choice of 2 speeds; standard 7 months or fast-track 4 months.
We start with a diagnostic TP in September 2027.
Then we space TP 1, 2, 3 and 4 out over the next 3 or 6 months, depending which track you choose.
You take your unit 3 exam and do your TP 4 on the same day.
How does teaching practice (TP) work?
Teach your assessed lessons with your own class.
Observation is remote for all lessons .
Online lessons and face-to-face classes possible.
Apply the knowledge and skills from the course to your own unique context.
